Mark Crowell, Principal Culinologist, CuliNex, LLC
Mark Crowell, CRC, MBA, is the founder and Principal Culinologist at CuliNex, a consultancy specializing in the development of organic and natural food products. Mark is the former director of product development for Olive Garden Restaurants and Starbucks Coffee Company.
CuliNex specializes in assisting retailers, food manufacturers, ingredient suppliers and multi-unit foodservice operators achieve their growth goals by bringing successful products to market. Mark has spoken at conferences and organizations such as the Research Chefs Association, Culinary Institute of America, SupplySide West, and the University of Washington, Graduate School of Nutrition. He’s written articles for a wide range of publications including Organic Processing Magazine and Food Product Design and other media appearances such as Martha Stewart Living Radio. He is an Adjunct Professor of Culinology, Southwest Minnesota State University.
Mark has an MBA from Columbia University, a B.S. in Hotel-Restaurant Management from Florida International University, and an A.O.S. in Culinary Arts from the Culinary Institute of America.
