Jeff Casper, MSc, Partner, Voyageur Foodworks
Jeff Casper, MSc, is a Partner at Voyageur Foodworks, a contract R&D firm specializing in food innovations through creative formulation and technology development. Casper holds a B.S. in Food Science and Technology with a biochemistry minor from Iowa State University and an MSc in food chemistry from the University of Wisconsin, Madison.
Before his current role, Casper was Director of R&D at Merit Functional Foods, where he led functional evaluation and application investigations on novel pea and canola proteins. Previously he held Director roles at Manitoba Harvest hemp foods, Cargill, and Horizon Milling, focusing on ingredient innovation and application. Casper has also served on the scientific advisory boards of the Cereals & Grains Association (formerly the American Association of Cereal Chemists International (AACCI)).
He holds several patents spanning food formulation, processing, and packaging technology. He has presented at AACCI annual meetings and the Pet Food Forum, authored or co-authored several peer-reviewed journal articles, and co-authored the book Gluten Free Baked Products published by AACCI press.
