Claudia Dziuk O’Donnell, MSc, MBA, Co-owner & Co-founder,
Global Food Forums, Inc.

Claudia Dziuk O'DonnellClaudia Dziuk O’Donnell possesses a rare combination of food technology and industry experience combined with media and communications. Her background includes bench- to upper-level management R&D and QC employment at food processing companies, 25+ years in media covering consumer and emerging food technology trends and shaping conference programs, as well as industry research and report preparation.

Previous to Global Food Forums, she was technical editor on Dairy Foods and Prepared Foods magazines where she eventually became chief editor. Prior to that, Claudia was director of QC for Orval Kent Foods (now part of Reser’s Fine Foods) and R&D/QC director for Alex Foods (which became Don Miguel Foods/MegaMex, a joint venture between Hormel Foods and Herdez Del Fuerte). She started her professional career as a R&D food technologist with International Multifoods (where she primarily worked on a processed meats line now owned by Oberto Sausage).

This background enabled her to develop an extensive industry network and provides a unique global perspective into key trends as well as the information needs of the food industry, both crucial tools in determining conference content.

Personal interests include understanding the food development process on a global scale and increasing her competency in Spanish and learning about the Latin American market. This has lead her to occasionally contribute articles to Énfasis Alimentación (in English..they translated!).

Claudia has a MSc in Food Science and Nutrition (University of Minnesota), MBA (Northern Illinois University), and a BA in Biology with art minor equivalent (St. Olaf College). She is a member of IFT and Food Executive Women.
