Speaker: Christopher Shanahan, MSc, Frost & Sullivan’s Agriculture & Nutrition Practice

Frost & Sullivan monitors and analyzes emerging trends, technologies and market dynamics in the Food Ingredient industries. Projects have included in-depth analysis and pricing trend tracking of the green chemical markets, fatty acids market, preservatives and other food additive markets, organic food markets, commodity markets and polymers in personal care products market, among others.

Chris’ specific expertise centers on the analysis of production and consumption behavior within food ingredient and dietary supplement markets, as well as experience in the specialty chemical and personal care industry supply chains using mathematical programming, statistical benefit-cost analysis, and other strategic models for use in syndicated research and customized business consulting projects.

Prior to joining Frost & Sullivan, Chris was a Research Analyst at The Ohio State University. He has direct experience in econometric-based market analysis; the analysis of production and consumption behavior, mathematical programming; and statistical benefit-cost analysis. Additionally, he has done research using hedonic pricing models, product innovation adoption analysis, and the application of statistical decision models that explore product adoption and usage, business strategy adoption, and production process adoption.

Christopher has a MSc in Agricultural Economics and a BS in Agriculture, Agricultural Economics and Agribusiness from The Ohio State University.
